The brew kettle filed with hops and wort (unfermented beer)

Approximately 30 gallons of fermenting beer

A homebrewed American Wheat Beer
The basics steps of brewing beer are:
Grind the grain, mix with water and hold at 148-154 F for one hour. During this time enzymes in the grain will convert the starches to sugar.
Rinse the grain with warm water and transfer it (the sugary solution is called wort) to a kettle to boil with hops.
Boil the wort with hops for approximately an hour. Hops added to the early part of the boil will contribute bitterness to balance the sweetness of the wort. Hops added towards the end of the boil will contribute hop flavor and aroma.
Cool the wort to approximately 70 F and add yeast. The yeast will ferment the sugar and convert it to alcohol and carbon dioxide.
Keg the beer, age it, drink it, fall down smiling.
Cheers
